How this works

Three steps, and nothing hidden in the middle.

Step 1

Search your area

Enter a ZIP code and we sort every centre we know about by real distance, calculated from actual coordinates.

Step 2

Compare properly

See which network runs each centre and what that network advertises per donation, so you can tell a good offer from a loud one.

Step 3

Contact the centre direct

We give you the centre's own phone number and official page. You book with them. We do not sit in the middle of your appointment.

What the major networks pay

Most regular donors earn roughly $200 to $500 in a month donating twice a week. First month totals are higher because of new donor bonuses, and the largest advertised promotions have reached about $1,100 across the first eight donations.

Read this before you plan around a number. Rates differ by centre and change with local promotions. Always confirm the current offer with the centre before you travel. Pay generally scales with body weight, because heavier donors can safely give a larger plasma volume. Centres commonly pay a few dollars more per visit above 150 pounds and more again above 175 pounds.

Common questions

How much does donating plasma actually pay?

Most regular donors earn roughly $200 to $500 in a month donating twice a week. First month totals are higher because of new donor bonuses, and the largest advertised promotions have reached about $1,100 across the first eight donations. Rates differ by centre and change with local promotions. Always confirm the current offer with the centre before you travel.

How often am I allowed to donate?

No more than twice in any seven day period, and never twice in the same two day window. That means a minimum of 48 hours between donations.

What are the basic requirements?

18 to 74 at most centres. At least 110 pounds, which is 50 kilograms. This is a federal requirement, not a centre preference. You also need government issued photo identification, proof of your social security number, and proof of a current permanent address.

Why does pay go up with body weight?

Pay generally scales with body weight, because heavier donors can safely give a larger plasma volume. Centres commonly pay a few dollars more per visit above 150 pounds and more again above 175 pounds.

Do you get paid on the first visit?

Most centres pay on every completed donation, including the first, and load it onto a prepaid card. New donor bonuses are usually paid across a set number of donations rather than all at once, so read the promotion terms before you count on the full amount.

Is plasmadonate run by a plasma company?

No. We are an independent directory. We list centres from the major networks and we are not paid by them to rank one above another. Where a centre has paid for placement we label it Sponsored, every time.

Run a plasma centre?

Donor churn is the expensive problem in this industry. We send people who are already looking for a centre near you and already know what the visit pays.
